I appreciate the opportunity <em>Vox<\/em> gave me to reconcile my constant desire to be <em>of use<\/em> with my pursuit of personal academic interests and ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hold dear the principles that the editorial board has adhered to since then: the journal is published in open access because we believe that knowledge should be accessible.
