Academic interests:<\/strong> Sacred and comical, medieval and Renaissance parody, Old and Middle French comic literature, parodic hagiography, ecclesiastical parody<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My doctoral project investigates the development of ecclesiastical parody in Latin and Middle French from the 13th<\/sup> to the 16th<\/sup> centuries. In my research I focus on the transition from Latin to the vernacular and analyse the development of religious parody. I graduated from Moscow State University in 2020 and then got my MA from the University of York in 2021. I mainly write about sermons joyeux, <\/em>parodic masses and other intriguing stuff. I teach Latin to beginner students and researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been with VOX since 2020 and used to be responsible for the journal\u2019s Twitter page, but then switched to editing.
