Three Roses of the Eden. A Tale about St. Dorothy

The medieval tale about Saint Dorothea used to be a part of the Appendix to the Jacobus de Voragine’s Legenda Aurea. An image of Saint Dorothea, a patroness of gardeners and floral designers, is represented on the numerous altars of the Northern Renaissance. The translation of the tale and the commentaries, prepared specially for this edition, are published for the first time.
